FREELANCE – WORK FROM HOME SITES
I have experienced some freelance job sites during my layoff. There were a few lists of these kind of sites on the Internet, so I went through many of them and reduced the list to my ‘top 3′. All of these have some data entry jobs, IT jobs, web site design, SEO, scripting, programming, admin type of jobs, and many more.
Even though the time is short since I researched this, I found that Odesk is the latest and best one of the three. Internet bloggers and commentaries have listed Odesk as “the new Elance”. Odesk allows you create a profile, list your skills, and take as many tests as you want in your line of work. This will help build credibility for you when applying for jobs. They are well documented and the site is easy to navigate through. They also have the feature of sending you jobs when they are posted which list your search query parameters.
Elance.com I find very archaic in its structure and ease of navigation. On this site you only get 3 job requests, then you need to pay for the premium version. I have my profile on here as well, but don’t go there as often.
Guru.com is a site I haven’t had time to dig into very much, but I do go there and look for jobs. Their site’s structure, job availability and help system are the things that keeps me coming back. They also have an email notification system, and I get jobs daily from them. I believe it’s worth looking into.
You are going to have to research these freelance sites on your own and decide which ones you and your skills will fit into the best. Good luck!
